- Mercedes alternates A and B services about every 10,000 miles or once a year.
- We don't offer separate A and B services. Every year your car gets one complete yearly service at the same price: $408–$577, tax included.
- Servicing at an independent shop does not void your factory warranty when manufacturer specs are followed.
- In warranty we use the factory-recommended oil. Out of warranty we have better choices for the long haul if you plan on keeping your Benz.
- We tell you which repairs your dealer should do at no cost under warranty or recall.
What the A and B on your dash mean
Your Mercedes tracks its own maintenance with a service reminder that alternates between an A service and a B service, usually about every 10,000 miles or once a year. You'll see codes like A1, B3 or A5. The letter is the base service, and the number adds extra items due at that point, like a brake fluid flush or filters.
It's a useful reminder system, but it can be confusing, and it leads to very different bills from one year to the next.
Why we offer one yearly service
We do it differently. Every year your Mercedes gets the same complete service at the same price, so you know what it costs before you walk in. Every year your car gets the full picture, not half of one. It's a much more in-depth evaluation of your vehicle and its needs at its current age and mileage, not a guess from a generic recommendation list that ignores your situation.
Dealerships often push whatever services they think you need at a given mileage, no matter your car's history, and many of those services are bundled into very expensive visits just to get the service light reset. Those items do need to be done, but there's real flexibility in when and how. We'll explain what's due now, what can wait and why. You choose how and when to spend money on your car. A yearly oil change should not turn into a $1,500 bill.
Look up your model on our price sheet to see your exact price, tax included. AMG models add $40.

Which oil do we use?
Oil is the single most important thing in your engine's long-term health. We've seen a high failure rate of Mercedes engines that all stem from lack of lubrication and poor oil quality, which is why we stress frequent oil services with quality oil only.
Once your car is out of warranty, we have better choices for the long haul if you plan on keeping your Benz. Just ask and we'll walk you through the options at your next visit. Either way, we only use oil approved to Mercedes-Benz specifications.
Will servicing with an independent shop void my warranty?
We use genuine and OEM parts, licensed MBUSA XENTRY diagnostics, and keep a full record of every service. Our own work carries a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty.
More than a service: peace of mind
- We let you know about repairs that are coming up soon, so they don't leave you broke and stranded on the side of the road.
- We tell you about any repairs your dealer can do at no cost under warranty or recall, and how to approach them.
- We make your service easy to understand and explain why each item matters.

No. By law you are not required to service at the dealership, as long as the manufacturer's specifications are followed. Our yearly service does not void your factory warranty.
What oil does Elite Benz use?
During the 4-year / 50,000-mile factory warranty we use the factory-recommended oil to keep your warranty valid. Out of warranty, we have better choices for the long haul if you plan on keeping your Benz, and we'll walk you through them. We only use oil approved to Mercedes-Benz specifications.
